Lockdown in the UK continues, this batch of photographs were taken on the 11th and 12th April 2020
Unfortunately, like most people, I have not been able to go abroad for holidays. I have made do with staying in England, which has a lot to offer, especially when the summer has been as warm as it has been most of the time.
These photographs were taken during a scorching spell of weather in August in Sandgate Kent. There has been a lot of coverage in the British Press about dangerously overcrowded beaches in England. In contrast, the beaches were busy people appeared to be obeying the social distancing rules. I was impressed as I walked by the beach by the unusual smells coming from some of the BBQs. The lack of rubbish was impressive even though the bins were overflowing.
