Using the Nikon 14-30 for woodland photography

During the Covid restrictions, I did a lot of walking for the sake of my own sanity, as it was the only form of enjoyment we seemed to be allowed. However, while I walked a lot, I wasn't photographing anything. Twelve months later, I have a new 14-30mm wide-angle lens, so how does it stack up against my 24-70mm, which is my go-to lens for woodland photography.
