The UK is in its second national lockdown. Luckily for me the Chiltern Hills and it's woodland look stunning at this time of year.
So 2021 has arrived but so has the latest lockdown in England. We are all supposed to stay indoors except for essential trips such as food shopping. We are also allowed and encouraged to go outside daily for exercise. Thankfully, I have the Chiltern hills on my doorstep, which makes the daily walking a pleasure.
The temperature may not have gone much over zero, but the sun stayed out during the hour-long walk. The woodland lit by the morning light looked terrific.
On a number of these photographs I shot into the sun, someone suggested that I stop your lens down to f/8 or f/11 and get an excellent starburst effect. Next time I am out and about, I will give that a go.
I hope that this lockdown doesn't last too long if it does at least I live in a beautiful part of the world surrounded by beautiful countryside.
The photos below were all taken with the Nikon Z6 and the 24mm-70mm F4 lens.
